Welcome to JamrAAk, a mobile application developed by JamrAAk Limited ("we," "us," "our"). By using JamrAAk and/or our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read these Terms carefully. If you disagree with these Terms, do not use the application or website.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the JamrAAk app or website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the app or website after any changes implies your acceptance of the new Terms.

3. Use of the App and Website

JamrAAk provides language translation services, including Jamaican Patois translation, along with AI chatbot interaction and text-to-speech features. Your use of the app and website must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

4. Account Creation and Website Access

Our website allows users to create accounts by signing up or logging in. By creating an account, users gain access to additional services offered through the website.

  • Email Usage for Authentication: When signing up or logging in to our website, you must provide an email address. This email is used solely for authentication purposes and is not used for any other purposes, such as marketing or sharing with third parties.

5. Paid Features

JamrAAk offers free features with certain limitations, as well as additional paid features:

  • Text-to-Speech Feature: All users are given a free monthly usage limit. Once the user reaches the maximum limit for the month, continued use of the text-to-speech feature will require a payment.

  • AI Chat Feature: Users are allowed ten free chats with our AI chatbots daily. After reaching the 10-chat limit, additional chats will require payment.

The specific payment details, including fees and limits, will be made available to you at the time of purchase.

6. Payment Terms

Payments for JamrAAk's paid features are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment provider. We do not store or retain your credit card or other payment information. All payments must be made through secure methods provided by Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to be bound by Stripe's terms and conditions, which can be found on their website.

Once you purchase a paid feature, refunds will not be provided unless required by law. We reserve the right to modify our pricing structure at any time, and you will be notified of any changes before they take effect.

7. Data Collection and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. By using JamrAAk, you agree to the collection and use of your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy. Here is how we handle your data:

  • Saved Messages: Messages used in the AI Chat feature are stored temporarily in our database but are deleted daily. We do not retain your chat history beyond 24 hours.

  • Email for Account Creation: When signing up or logging in through our website, your email is used solely for authentication purposes and is not shared or used for other purposes.

  • Payment Information: We do not store credit cards or other payment information. All payments are processed securely by Stripe, and you are subject to Stripe's privacy and security policies.

8. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for all activity on your account. You agree not to:

  • Use JamrAAk for any illegal activities or to harm, harass, or exploit others.

  • Violate any intellectual property rights of others through the use of JamrAAk.

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, duplicate, or otherwise manipulate the app’s or website’s functionality.

Violation of these terms may result in the suspension or termination of your account.

9. Limitation of Liability

JamrAAk is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no guarantees that the app or website will be free from errors, bugs, or interruptions. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use JamrAAk, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to JamrAAk at any time without notice if you violate these Terms or engage in unlawful activities. You may also choose to discontinue using the app or website anytime.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by posting the new terms on the app or website. Your continued use of JamrAAk after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
